Founded On Friendship, Passion, And Trust Our Co-Founders Kirby and Wes go way back. These days they bond over coffee, but it was a shared love for squash, and a chance meeting on the courts of their beloved Aussie club, that first set the scene for their partnership. And it just so happened that whilst Kirby and Wes honed their squash skills (and earned a few titles whilst they were at it), the club owner opened an onsite café serving speciality coffee. The rest, so they say, is history. Eventually, both hung up their rackets and went to work with their good friend and mentor Ed at Sydney based roastery (and our sister company) The Little Marionette. It was here they learnt the ropes of a fledgling roastery business. Fast forward to 2013, and with both Kirby and Wes now residing in the UK, the duo felt their adopted home was missing the laid back neighbourhood coffee culture that they had become so fond of in Aus. Enter The Roasting Party. Today, 55,000 people enjoy a cup of The Roasting Party coffee every week, but the foundation of friendship that our company is built on still holds strong. We always ask how you are before what your coffee order is, because we know you are so much more than a hastily scribbled name on a cup – you’re a VIP guest at our party.
