Modern Standard Coffee is a family of driven coffee professionals that work together to produce great coffee, while always aiming to have the best impact we can on the industry, the environment and the communities it connects. With our roastery in Fife, cafe in Edinburgh, and coffee studio in London, take a look behind our doors and understand what we do in delivering great coffee, meet the producers who grow our coffee and learn about the charities and community organisations that we support along the way. The team From roasters and baristas, to machine technicians and coffee trainers; great coffee wouldn’t be possible without them all. We are a diverse and passionate group of individuals, who believe in looking after each other, as well as the environment, in the pursuit of great coffee. The producers From when we began, in 2015, we have worked to build long lasting relationships with our producers. Over the years, we have welcomed more into our sourcing programme, and are always looking for producers who are passionate about the environment and coffee. By sourcing our coffee directly from the producers, paying a fair price for their efforts, we can ensure a sustainable financial future for the growers that will enable us to roast great coffee year after year. The roastery At the start of December 2019, we opened our state of the art roastery in Glenrothes, Fife, having outgrown our first roastery where we began 5 years before. Over the years we’ve learned and developed our skills, and our roastery now reflects the effort that we put into roasting great coffees batch after batch. We roast on a 70kg, 25kg, 12kg & 2.5kg Diedrich roasters, giving us full scope to roast small lot coffees and large customer orders without compromising on quality.
